Ahead of this Saturday’s Coronation of Charles III and Camilla, many of us are preparing ourselves for an exciting day. We’d like to share how we’ll be celebrating…

Our Design Studio has been busy creating a collection of limited edition treasures to commemorate this moment. The collection includes our bespoke applique cushions, which highlight our passion for needlecraft and our love for all things colourful.

We love Holly Frean’s ‘Royal Flush’ paintings which are also available from Shop Kit Kemp. These gouache and pencil work paintings play on Holly’s deck of card themed works and feature the line of succession which has led to our new King’s reign.

After being crowned, King Charles III and Queen Camilla will travel in the 260 year old Gold State Coach, which Queen Elizabeth II used for her coronation in 1953. Those heading to see The Procession can pick up something delicious from our Coronation Carts at Haymarket Hotel on their journey. From 11am, choose from a takeaway afternoon tea, a homemade ice cream or a chilled glass of English sparkling wine.

In the courtyard at Ham Yard Hotel, we’ll be getting into the Coronation spirit with a celebratory street party. From 12pm, stalls will be serving hearty rolls of roast beef or pork accompanied by a variety of summer salads. Join us for a glass of bubbly and enjoy live music!

The celebrations don’t stop after this weekend! Throughout the summer, we’ll be serving our Royal Afternoon Tea at Covent Garden Hotel and a Coronation Afternoon Tea at Haymarket Hotel. The menus include much loved Coronation chicken sandwiches, fluffy scones and lemon crémeux and strawberry tarts. Find all of our Coronation celebrations here.
