We are constantly refreshing our bedroom schemes. Often, all it takes is an update of the fabrics. At Knightsbridge Hotel we have recently transformed our headline suite.
In this room, we are lucky enough to work with beautifully high ceilings and full-length windows overlooking the leafy square. The three windows are framed by my ‘Psycho Sprig‘ fabric for Andrew Martin. It is a delicate and playful design in electric blues and punchy pinks. This palette sets the tone for the rest of the scheme.
The blue is echoed on the sofa lined in my ‘Ikat Weave’ fabric in indigo with a soft fuchsia leather pipe. The armchair and headboard marry together, covered in my ‘Bookends’ design for Christopher Farr Cloth, with an indigo chevron embroidery on creamy white linen.
Vibrant bursts of pink are injected on the contrast valance kick pleat, a pink parquet wool on the end of the ottoman, on our signature mannequin and the zesty ikat lampshades. It is these final details that bring the whole scheme to life.
On the back of the tub chairs we have used a wonderful patchwork fabric sourced from France. Each little square is alive with detail. On the front, a plain denim blue wool has been edged with bright nickel studding. The back of the tub chair is also piped in fuchsia leather, picking out the hot pinks on the rug.
