As our days begin to fill with glorious blue skies again, we thought we’d share a recent scheme of ours. With its mix of blue hues, blossoming greens, organic textures and lyrical lines, Room 202 at Covent Garden Hotel is a refreshing delight as we step into spring. Join us as we explore this space further…
Whilst dado rails are a traditional feature, we use them to create interesting wallscapes that unite different tones and colours. Here, we’ve used one of our favourite fabrics by Jane Churchill to cover the walls above the dado. This is paired with a refreshing aqua paint below, creating a sense of calm and ease.
We adore the headboard’s floral pattern which reminds us of Monet’s water lilies. This soft palette detailed with embroidery, effortlessly echoes a sense of spring-like romanticism. Framed within a deep blue border with studded edges, it really makes a statement.
Further floral patterns can be seen on the curtains, which create a new layer to this scheme. Complementing the curtains’ intricate details, are two tub chairs which we have upholstered in a matching deep blue. We’ve added teal blue piping to create further cohesion – the devil is in the details!
We have used our ‘Romany Weave’ for Christopher Farr fabric for the sofa in green and its aqua colourway for an end of bed stool. Together they unite the scheme’s springtime palette of blues, teals and greens.
For a whimsical element of surprise, we’ve wrapped a chest of draws in our ‘Over The Moon‘ fabric for Andrew Martin. It gives a contemporary twist – we all love a dance in the moonlight!
We hope you’ve enjoyed this refreshing scheme in room 202 at Covent Garden Hotel. Explore more of our hotel schemes with our series of ‘Sleeping Around’ blog posts here.
