Size & shape…

Explore, be brave and have fun! Accessories are a great way of giving character to your space. At Rossferry, we added a pair of scallop shaped vases which add a punch of colour and create a contrast against the lime coloured leaves and coral stone walls.

If you look closer, you can spot a colourful lizard crawling down the scallop, adding a fun touch!

Materials…

Select materials that align with your interior space and style. Transparent glass can create an elegant and timeless look. Introduce different shapes to create dynamism.

Focal points…

Think of vases as a way to create a focal point in a room. In Covent Garden Hotel’s Lyric Room, we placed the vase in the centre of the room which creates a bold statement, leading your eye to a collection of artworks.

To help dress this console we created a symmetrical display, going large with scale using greenery in the centre vase. The vases immediately transform this otherwise forgotten corner.

Play with height…

One of the most important points when styling with vases is to play with different heights. Even if you are using the same material or colour like we did in this room, make sure you incorporate a variety of heights. A combination of different heights and sizes will make the vases look like an art composition themselves!

Grouping…

Group vases of the same texture and colour to create a dramatic statement. Here we have incorporated candles for a romantic and moody atmosphere.
