Terrace Suite at Ham Yard Hotel

Sleeping Around

Step inside the Terrace Suite at Ham Yard Hotel, where colour, pattern and playful details bring every room to life...

In the latest instalment of our Sleeping Around series, we are delighted to share a new scheme for the Terrace Suite at Ham Yard Hotel. A palette of burnt orange and earthy tones, layered with brighter accents, creates a warm and inviting home away from home. As always, our love of colour, pattern and texture runs throughout, with each room telling its own story while maintaining a sense of harmony across the suite.

As you enter the drawing room, you are greeted by warm burnt-orange walls, providing a rich backdrop for the fabrics, furniture and artwork. The fireplace creates a natural focal point, anchoring the room and bringing the seating area together to form a welcoming space for gathering. On either side of the fireplace, two generous sofas are upholstered in our Tip Toe fabric. Its textured weave, earthy tones and embroidered details introduce depth and colour while sitting comfortably within the wider scheme.

At the centre of the room, the large Celia ottoman is upholstered in our Noah’s Ark fabric, bringing a playful touch to the space. Its charming animal motifs introduce a sense of storytelling and add another layer of pattern to the scheme.

Moving into the dining area, our Tudor Rose fabric features on both the curtains and the Kit’s Wing Chair. Inspired by an archival textile, its large-scale design makes a striking statement. Coral and green florals are punctuated with touches of turquoise, creating a pattern that rewards a closer look.

Around the dining table, upholstered chairs feature charming appliqué animal motifs that echo the playful character of Noah’s Ark. Each chair has its own distinctive detail, bringing individuality to the dining area while subtly connecting it to the drawing room.

In the first bedroom, we have introduced a softer, more restful palette. Our Falling Leaves in Ivory wallpaper adorns the walls, its delicate white embroidered design set against a warm, neutral background. Rather than relying on bold colour throughout, we have allowed carefully chosen accents to bring the room to life, carrying touches of orange and green through from the drawing room. The Sunrise Lily headboard takes centre stage, with its striking silhouette and vibrant floral motif.

Continuing the cheerful palette, another colourway of Noah’s Ark features on the upholstered bench and cushions. Fresh greens and lively animal motifs provide a lovely contrast to the neutral walls, keeping the scheme connected to the drawing room while giving the bedroom its own personality.

In the second bedroom, we have embraced cooler tones, with our Puff fabric covering the walls to create an almost otherworldly, above-the-clouds atmosphere.

In contrast to the bold simplicity of the Sunrise Lily headboard, this design celebrates intricate detail. Delicate flowers, winding stems and embroidery come together in a beautifully layered composition. There is something new to discover with every glance, as the eye follows each flower and curling leaf across the fabric.

We hope you have enjoyed exploring the Terrace Suite at Ham Yard Hotel, where every fabric, colour and carefully considered detail brings its own personality. From the cheerful drawing room to the restful bedrooms, the suite celebrates individuality, craftsmanship and the joy of creating spaces that feel truly lived in.
