Tucked away in the heart of Marylebone, Dorset Square Hotel was the first in the Firmdale Hotels collection. Set within an elegant Regency townhouse, the Summer Suite is beautifully illuminated by generous floor to ceiling sash windows, allowing natural light to bathe the space.
The focal point of the room is the oversized statement appliqué headboard with coordinating bed cushions that add a sense of playfulness. Whatever the season, the intention was for the room to evoke the easy warmth and optimism of summer, with the handcrafted detail of the headboard bringing depth, character and a sense of life to the space.
The curtains are made in our Falling Leaves fabric with Andrew Martin from the Harvest Moon collection. Intricately embroidered and alive with colour, the design introduces a gentle movement and rhythm to the room.
Opposite the bed, a pair of inviting armchairs are upholstered in Bobbin in Sunshine, also from the Harvest Moon collection. With its tactile weave and golden undertones, the fabric brings both comfort and character, balancing tradition with a relaxed, contemporary feel. A multicoloured end of bed stool adds a cheerful note, echoing the palette of the room without overwhelming it.
As a final touch, the mannequin has been dressed using fabrics from within the room, tying the whole scheme together.
The result is a room that feels relaxed and easy going, much like the summer months ahead, with layers of colour and texture sitting comfortably alongside one another and a sense of craftsmanship that gives it personality.
