Tucked away in the attic, this room features charming sloped ceilings that create an intimate, cocoon-like atmosphere — a perfect space for relaxation and quiet privacy.
Upon entering, you’re greeted by an abundance of natural light streaming through the dormer windows, illuminating the unique architecture and character of the hotel. We love dressing these windows with shutters, which filter the sunlight and cast a dreamy, dappled effect. The wide slats lend a modern, tailored feel to the room while still allowing a soft and inviting ambiance.
The statement headboard, upholstered in a fabric from GP & J Baker, draws the eye with its intricate embroidery. The woolen threads and warm, fiery hues add both richness and energy to the space, while the fun, vibrant orange accents of the bedside art pieces further enhance the lively atmosphere. The animals on the fabric strike a balance between friendly charm and regal elegance, with their ornate outfits and inviting expressions.
To bring balance and texture to the bed, we’ve added cushions with a smaller-scale geometric pattern. Their embroidered stripes and crisscross details tie everything together. Though green is often thought of as a cooler tone, we’ve chosen a lime green inspired by the fresh spring leaves on the headboard to bring warmth and vibrancy to the space. Its yellow undertones add a lively pop, energising the room.
To amplify the light and airiness of the space, we’ve placed a mirror on the wall opposite the window, bouncing natural light throughout and reducing any shadowy corners. Subtle pops of white, found in the bed linens, artwork, mirror frames, lighting, and shutters, further brighten the room, offering a crisp contrast to the rich colours and adding visual breathing room.
