Step inside Room 210 at Charlotte Street Hotel—a romantic haven adorned with warm, subdued tones. The centrepiece of this scheme is the stunning headboard, where we custom-printed our ‘Mythical Land’ wallpaper design onto fabric. The landscape was scaled down perfectly so the trees fit harmoniously on the ‘Flora’ shaped headboard. This headboard transports you to a world of old tales, featuring wildflowers, a tree bearing giant pears, and a dance of mythical creatures. To give it a contemporary twist, we framed the headboard with wide-spread nickel studding.
For the curtains, we paired the Mythical Land fabric with a printed version of our ‘Ashenwood’ embroidery, designed for Chelsea Textiles. These two fabrics complement each other beautifully, their muted tones and calming elegance working in perfect harmony. The armchair in the room is upholstered in a contemporary geometric print by Fermoie called ‘Flag’, and is piped in bright orange leather. The small-scale repeat adds a modern touch to this romantic bedroom.
To ground the bed, we used a green wool parquet bed valance with contrasting orange wool in the kick pleats. For added texture, the end-of-bed stool is upholstered in a peachy orange weave by Andrew Martin, a fabric also used on the desk chair for a cohesive look.
On the desk, a pair of lamps with bespoke lampshades made from a favourite fabric of ours by John Derian adds a touch of intimacy. The soft, soothing tones of the lampshades perfectly capture the room’s overall ambiance.
