Welcome to Room 1006 at Warren Street Hotel, where textures and patterns intertwine to create layers of fantasy and interest in this timeless design. The charm of this room lies in the careful balance of scale and the thoughtful use of fabrics on each piece of furniture, resulting in a space that perfectly merges two worlds: calm and fun.
The headboard is upholstered in GP & J Baker’s ‘Rebozo’ fabric, with its vertical embroidery lending a delicate touch and elevating the room. The vertical stripes draw the eye upward, accentuating the ceiling height and creating a sense of openness. The fabric is unified by a solid green hue, which adds a tailored and cohesive touch to the space.
We upholstered the sofa in our larger-scaled ‘Ikat Weave’ fabric, designed in collaboration with Christopher Farr. Its tones blend seamlessly with the overall scheme, and the matching ottoman complements the sofa, forming a cosy sitting area.
The large-scale floral artwork beside the sofa enhances the room’s sense of spaciousness, thanks to its balanced proportions and scale. We have also used our green ‘Bow Lamp’ to add an unexpected, contemporary element to the room.
The room feels warm and inviting, thanks to the red wall covering, which brings everything together. This fabric, with its small-scale print, adds another layer of interest without overwhelming the eye; from a distance, it reads as a solid colour. In this room, every fabric plays a starring role, contributing to the room’s overall character.
The curtains feature a beautiful floral vine print by Thibaut, which softens the room’s feel and provides a gentle contrast to the geometric upholstery. The white background of the fabric adds a fresh, crisp touch, enhancing the room’s contemporary vibe. An antique desk by the window creates a charming study corner, complete with our whimsical ‘Doggy Lamp’ and a fabric lampshade.
