In this week’s instalment of the ‘Sleeping Around’, we invite you to step into Room 207 at Charlotte Street Hotel. A romantic haven with our Song Bird wallpaper adorning the walls, transporting you to a magical garden.
The walls come alive with the graceful dance of willow trees, enhanced with powder-pink roses and burnt orange butterflies against a backdrop of chalky teal, creating an enchanting garden atmosphere.
The headboard is upholstered in our new Ozone colourway ‘Aqua’, designed exclusively for Christopher Farr. Â It pairs wonderfully with the Papillion wallpaper, picking out the soft chalky blues and aqua within the design.
Bed cushions, crafted from Fermoie’s Rabanna print, feature a darker teal wool piping for a distinctive contrast against the headboard. The valance grounds the bed, with turquoise wool and the darker teal in the kick pleats for contrast. At the foot of the bed, an end-of-bed stool adds a finishing touch.
To enhance the headboard’s presence against the wallpaper, we introduced a half tester bed canopy that elegantly frames it. The large-scale floral pattern, meticulously hand-embroidered on crisp linen, adds a touch of luxury.
Across from the bed, two tub chairs upholstered in a harmonious blend of the wools used in the bed valance create a seamless flow.
The curtains have been made up in plain white linen with an 8cm wide leading edge in Fermoie’s Rabanna fabric, harmoniously connecting with the bed cushions.
The desk chair follows suit, with a leather pipe elegantly separating the two fabrics. Above the desk, a Bloomsbury-inspired mirror, painted by the talented Amy Balfour, resonates with the wallpaper’s pinks and blues, completing the room’s sophisticated aesthetic.
We hope you have enjoyed exploring this romantic and calming bedroom at Charlotte Street Hotel. Discover more of our ‘Sleeping Around’ blogs here.
