Navy blues, crisp whites and burnt oranges are the ingredients that made room 505 at Crosby Street Hotel. This is a bright and airy room with large floor to ceiling loft style windows. Join us as we take you through this vibrant and calming scheme.
Adorning the walls is a padded fabric by William Yeoward called ‘Philippine’. It has a large scale floral print with a soft white painterly effect that allows the fabric to subtly sit back and not overwhelm the room.
Taking centre stage is a tall scalloped headboard which we have upholstered in Kit Kemp’s ‘Daisy Chain’ fabric for Christopher Farr. The floral design falls in a loose striped pattern with embroidered details. A fresh white linen background breaks up the navy colours. We love colour, but it’s always important to include neutral tones to make some breathing space.
Crisp white curtains dress the large windows, adding a sense of serenity and freshness to the bedroom.
For the bed cushions we have used a dotted design with tomato-red leather piping. The small scale print looks like little polka dots from afar, but up close you can see the tiny marks which resemble frogs feet!
Opposite the bed are two armchairs upholstered in a bright orange wool. We love how blues and oranges work together. These hot and cold colours create warmth.
Room 505 at Crosby Street Hotel is a great example of how to balance bold and vibrant colours with natural tones. We hope you enjoy this scheme as much as we do!
