This top floor Penthouse Suite at The Soho Hotel feels like a summer’s day and makes us smile. Colours make you happy.
As you step into the room, your eyes are drawn to the bold statement headboard covered in Pedroso Osorio’s ‘Wildflower Blossom’ fabric. This beautiful design almost looks hand-painted; it is a piece of art in its own right.
The scheme is bold and playful, using touches of all the colours found within the headboard fabric; bright blues, orange, yellow and green.
The walls are lined in Romo’s ‘Rumba’ in blue, a more muted fabric which makes the scheme feel modern without detracting from the wonderful bright colours.
The scheme has the perfect balance between these core colours. The armchairs are covered in my ‘Inside Out’ fabric for Christopher Farr Cloth in the orange colourway, picking out the bright orange in the headboard, which creates a sense of harmony.
We added geometric fabrics such as the Manuel Canovas’ ‘Kerala’ fabric on the sofa and the Jacko ‘Tutti Frutti’ fabric for the curtains. These more graphic patterns bring a contemporary edge to the scheme.
