At Haymarket Hotel, we are lucky enough to work with beautiful Regency dimensions with high ceilings and full-length sash windows in many of our bedrooms.
In Room 110, the scheme is inspired by the wonderful patterned fabric used on the high statement headboard and mannequin. The delicate floral fan-like design in a dusty blue contrasts beautifully with the Terracotta linen on the walls.
The wall facing the bed is lined in a denim blue linen which creates a bold contrast against the red on the opposite wall, whilst mirroring the blues used in the headboard fabric.
Against the denim wall we have upholstered two armchairs in an embroidered coral red zigzag fabric by Travers, which creates an interesting juxtaposition and introduces another texture and weight to this side of the room.
The floor-to-ceiling curtains are in my ‘Small Way’ fabric for Christopher Farr Cloth. The fresh blue and white chevron design is offset against the walls, enhancing the light streaming through the tall French windows.
We used an embroidered tree of life design in rich autumnal colours by Schumacher on the bed cushions and on the back of the tub chair at the desk.
