Room 200 at Charlotte Street Hotel is a colourful retreat overlooking the bustling streets of Bloomsbury.
This happy and vibrant scheme is centered around the spectacular fabric on the headboard, created by Designer’s Guild. It is a stunning explosion of flowers with bright splashes of fuchsia pink and acid lemon fading into a distressed background.
This powerful floral display is grounded by one of our favourite linens to use for walling, The Cloth Shop’s Swedish Linen in Flint. This same linen is also used as the base of the bed cushions, complementing Andrew Martin’s Sami Pink fabric, a Burmese inspired casual linen which picks out the bright pinks in the headboard.
The rest of the room is a celebration of the magnificent colours of the headboard, from the valance in a happy sunshine yellow to the tub chairs topped with a Whistler leather in deep pink.
The sofas and mannequin are both upholstered in a bold, monochrome pattern called Tulu by George Spencer, which works well as a striking contrast to the colourful florals.
Set off by a marble topped apothecary chest and artistically framed Bloomsbury inspired artworks, this room is a cheerful and colourful escape above the streets of London.
