Room 208 at Haymarket Hotel

A bold, graphic monochrome is the look in this tailored bedroom at Haymarket Hotel. It’s not often that we embrace monochrome and geometric patterns but when we do, a pop of colour always sneaks in.

Neutral fabric walling makes the perfect backdrop to the powerful patterns on the upholstery. We introduced pops of burnt orange to create a fun and playful contrast, which brings the scheme to life.

The headboard fabric is a fabulous black and white ethnic diamond print by Pierre Frey, contrasted against cinnamon leather piping.

The smaller pattern by Lindsay Alker on the bed cushions complements the colours of the headboard, whilst also creating a lovely juxtaposition between the large and small-scale prints.

Tonal linen curtains with a Samuel & Sons braid frame the large sash windows in this light filled bedroom.

We have used a smart stripe by Osborne & Little in black, ivory and burnt orange on the upholstered chairs and footstool which brings the scheme together.

In this bright and airy room, contrasting colours make a bold statement – don’t be afraid to add a burst of colour to even the most monochromatic scheme.
