Overlooking Number Sixteen’s private, tree-filled garden is this calm and breezy Deluxe room.
The garden green floral fabric from the Raoul Dufy Collection by Christopher Farr Cloth upholsters the tall, organic shaped headboard and echoes the luscious trees that can be seen through the window. The same fabric has been used for the bed cushions creating a vibrant and fresh scheme.
The headboard sits against the subtly patterned ‘Isabena’ fabric by Nina Campbell, with pale blue panels of diamonds and stripes. This airy blue of the fabric continues the impression of bringing the outside in, reflecting the (hopefully) blue skies outside.
Built into the wall above the desk is a bookcase filled with colourful books which add impact and character.
Finally, we covered the Handle chair and West Timber Tub in solid greens and blues using leather and chunky wools to add texture and vibrancy.
We hope you’ll feel a million miles away from central London in this fresh, garden inspired room.
Framing the view are two curtain panels made from my ‘Travelling Light’ for Christopher Farr Cloth. This linen fabric drapes beautifully and the white background looks bright against the walling. The large-scale, Aztec pattern picks out the blues and greens in the rest of the room.
