Our Fabrics, Your Designs

Each week at our Design Studio, we get together and share what has recently caught our eye. It’s one of our favourite times of the week as we check our Instagram tags and see how you’ve used our fabrics, wallpapers and carpets in your very own design projects. This week we’d like to share our top 5 favourite designs by you!

Travelling Light

From our collection with Christopher Farr, Travelling Light is a true favourite. Taking inspiration from traditional Kilim designs, we’ve given this fabric a contemporary and fun edge. It has detailed patterns on a neutral background, making this a versatile print.

This light filled hallway by @syd_bespokeinteriors has recently captured our attention…

Hallways and corridors are often forgotten spaces. It is important to understand that when entering a home, an entrance hallway makes the first impression. @syd_bespokeinteriors have done exactly that. They have used Travelling Light in Indigo on the wall with its vertical striped pattern repeat that visually enlarges the space.

Lily Pad Applique Cushion

This children’s bedroom by @maalleninteriors was a joy to come across with its uplifting wallpaper and painted yellow woodwork…

After a couple of grey years stuck in lockdown, we love anything bold and bright. Nestled into this swinging chair is our Lily Pad applique cushion which we designed for Annie Selke. This is a handmade art piece, infused with expert collage. An accent cushion which brings comfort, colour and fun into any room.

‘By Way’ – Wilton Carpets

We designed our carpet collection for Wilton Carpets in 2018 and we still love seeing how designers from all over the world use it. Here we spotted our ‘By Way’ design in this beautiful French chalet. ‘By Way’ is a classic herringbone design infused with bright colour combinations which uplifts any interior in a colourful and carefree way. Here, the designer has used the carpet to unite a kitchen and living room area which are on split levels, creating a warm and vibrant atmosphere.

Tall Trees

Our Tall Trees Mural wallpaper was created in collaboration with Melissa White. Reaching four metres high, it tells a unique story that transports you to a treetop view surrounded by birds, mythical creatures and rolling hills which fade into the distance. We love how @zwickhomesfw has used it with this collection of vintage boomboxes. The juxtaposition of the retro audio players against the elegant wallpaper creates such an impact and an interesting collection.

Jelly Roll

We spotted a Jelly Roll rug from our Annie Selke collection in this living room designed by @fleurwardinteriordesign and we love how it brings all of the furniture together. It really grounds the space. The natural ‘Sky’ colourway of the rug goes wonderfully with the wooden furniture and neutral linen tones in the room, creating a fresh and serene environment to relax in.

It is such a pleasure to see all of our designs in your homes and interior projects. Please keep sending us pictures and tag us on Instagram @KitKempDesignThread, we’re always so inspired by your work.
