In Mexico, the day is devoted to celebrating all types of love. Known as the ‘Day of Love and Friendship’, it is an occasion to share appreciation for all of your loved ones and those you care about including friends.

South Korea

In South Korea, men are treated to all of the attention. That’s right! The fellas get all of the pampering, gifts and chocolates on Valentine’s Day. Thankfully, the ladies also get a special day in the spotlight one month later. On March 14th, it’s their turn to get doted on.

Wales

Although a kitchen utensil doesn’t scream romance, love spoons are exchanged amongst loved ones to show affection in Wales. Often adorned with Celtic knots and hearts, the hand-crafted spoons are a token of love and affection, carved with great attention.

Philippines

Valentine’s Day in the Philippines is the most popular date for wedding anniversaries, as many couples choose February 14th as the perfect day to tie the knot. Mass weddings are popular here, as couples gather in groups to exchange vows and celebrate at the same time.

Denmark 

Instead of traditional red roses, Denmark celebrates with one of the most quintessential winter blooms, the snowdrop. This blossom takes centre stage on greeting cards and the flowers are exchanged amongst family and friends.
