Kit Kemp at Bergdorf Goodman

Kit Kemp has transformed the loft space on the Seventh Floor of Bergdorf Goodman with her furniture, fabrics, textiles and home accessories into an immersive environment, bringing the “World of Kit Kemp” to life. Designed as three vignettes - a bedroom, drawing room, and dining room - the space has the feel of a luxury hotel suite in the style of her New York hotels, The Whitby Hotel and Crosby Street Hotel. Her unique sense of design and love of color, pattern and texture will be evident throughout.

One of the central elements is be the launch of Sailor’s Farewell, Kit’s latest collection of fine bone china for Wedgwood. This lyrical design tells the folkloric story of a sailor’s loved-one waving goodbye on a rock with her scarf flying in the wind and the adventures which lie ahead. Other designs include Kit’s statement headboards with specially embroidered motifs, bespoke furniture and soft furnishings including sofas, chairs, tables, rugs, cushions and blankets featuring fabrics from her recent collection with Andrew Martin, and accessories including lighting, collectable art and one off found items which are available for purchase.
