International Women’s Day

With International Women’s Day on the horizon, it’s the perfect time to shine a spotlight on the incredible women who inspire and shape the world of interior design.

Kit Kemp

No homage to women in design would be complete without recognising the incomparable Kit Kemp, the visionary behind Firmdale Hotels and Kit Kemp Design Studio. Each day in the studio, we draw inspiration from Kit’s unparalleled approach to interior design, her keen expertise, and her unwavering attention to detail. Her distinctive aesthetic breathes life into every corner, crafting spaces that are as innovative as they are unforgettable.

Willow Kemp

Willow is a wonderfully talented illustrator with a Masters in Architecture and Sculpture. Leading many of our creative collaborations, Willow infuses her projects with brilliantly playful designs that captivate the imagination. Her unique blend of architectural insight and artistic flair adds depth and dimension to our endeavours, pushing the boundaries of creativity and innovation.

Minnie Kemp

A powerhouse of boundless creativity and the brains behind the newly launched wallpaper collaboration with Mind The Gap. Recently featured in Elle Decoration, Minnie shares her insights on the female artists who inspire her daily, offering a glimpse into her remarkable journey.

Pippa Caley

With her masterful craftsmanship and intricate designs, Pippa infuses every room with a sense of serenity and elegance. At Warren Street Hotel, a bespoke headboard adorned with delicate motifs of leaves and flowers creates an oasis of tranquility.

Clementina van der Walts

Hailing from South Africa, Clementina van der Walt’s vibrant and bold plates add a contemporary flair to any space. Shown below at Warren Street Hotel, set against a backdrop of linen and framed in striking blue, her creations lend a burst of colour and energy to our designs.

Martha Freud

Martha Freud is a London-based ceramicist whose delicate glowing pots and pendant lights can be spotted in many of the spaces we have designed in London and New York. Shown below, Martha’s whimsical mushroom-themed candles illuminate our conservatory at Warren Street Hotel.

Mimi de Biarritz

Finally, we pay tribute to the courageous and inspiring Mimi de Biarritz, whose playful totems add a touch of wit to our bathrooms at Warren Street Hotel. Against the backdrop of our new wallpaper, Robinna’s Dinner Party, these unique pieces stand as a testament to creativity and innovation.

We hope we have inspired you to celebrate all the wonderful women in your life this International Women’s Day!
