As leaves gracefully start to fall and the air becomes crisp, we find ourselves inspired to infuse our table with the enchantment of autumn. Join us as we share our tips for creating a Halloween tablescape to revel in this spook-tacular season.

Step 1: Start by finding a theme for your tablescape. We found inspiration from the character and charm of vintage Halloween greeting cards. Additionally, a visit to New York City’s flower district during autumn can be a treasure trove of creative ideas for adorning your table.

Step 3: Choose your centrepiece. A great way to start is with a floral arrangement. Use a selection of seasonal flowers in harmonious hues. Place them in charming vases to elevate the table’s allure. Finish by surrounding the centrepiece with smaller arrangements to create a symmetrical balance.

Step 2: Choose your base layer, select a fabric or tablecloth that resonates with your heart and breathes life into the dining table. Here we have chosen our Chelsea Textiles ‘Ashenwood’ fabric as our tablecloth.

Step 4: Infuse the ambiance of your tablescape with Halloween themed decorations. Candles not only provide a warm glow but also set the stage for an eerie atmosphere. Here, we’ve taken a creative twist by moulding our tapered candlesticks with warm water, giving them ghostly features that howl in the night!

Step 6: The grand finale – serve and savour! We adore including a charcuterie board, as it seamlessly blends decorative holiday elements while delighting everyone with an assortment of delectable cheeses. Bon Appétit!

Step 5: Set the stage with plates, silverware and napkins. For an extra touch of personalisation, consider hand-painted place cards to make your guests feel truly special. We’ve also incorporated spider-shaped party crackers for an unexpected thrill.
