I recently took part in the Homes & Gardens judging for the Fabric Awards 2018 with interior designer Emma Sims-Hilditch and the team at Homes & Gardens.

Now in their 14th year, these prestigious awards celebrate the wealth of creativity in the industry. There are eight categories ranging from Best Wallpaper Collection to Best Fabric Collection.

It is always exciting to see all the latest designs and to see who has hit exactly the right spot for the season. There are always surprises as well as old favourites that return recoloured and enlivened.

Murals for walls seemed to be very strong this year and many woven fabrics looked interesting and innovative. Congratulations to all of the winners!
