Harmonious Hues for 2024

In the ever-evolving world of interior design, keeping up with the latest colour trends is a must! As we are approaching 2024, industry reports and design forecasts are predicting a palette that seamlessly marries sophistication with warmth, promising to infuse spaces with a harmonious ambience. Join us as we delve into five captivating colours set to define the style terrain in 2024…

Earthy Greens

In 2024, the enduring popularity of approachable and muted greens remains steadfast. Our recently designed Room 102 at Number Sixteen features a scheme with a range of natural greens from forest to sage tones. These nature-inspired hues are reminiscent of the calming qualities found in the outdoors and continue to evoke a sense of comfort that resonates with many. British brand Graham & Brown has recognised the timeless appeal of mid-tone greens, choosing ‘Viridis’ as their colour of the year. This choice reflects the enduring trend of integrating fresh and nurturing green tones into interior spaces.

Pastel Orange

In the coming year, expect a shift from vibrant oranges to more subdued tones. Sherwin-Williams has unveiled ‘Persimmon’ as its colour of the year. This earthy terracotta shade not only brings comfort to the home but also injects a burst of vibrant energy, retaining a soft and inviting look.

Dusty Blue

Dusty blue, with its understated elegance, is set to be a key player in interior colour schemes for 2024. This classy muted shade of blue creates a sense of calm and sophistication. Dusty blue shades can be found in our suites and residences at Ham Yard Hotel, showcasing its versatility in both traditional and contemporary settings. Whether used for accent walls or furnishings, dusty blue adds a touch of sophistication without overpowering the space.

Sunny Yellow

Sunny yellow shades continue to share the spotlight in 2024. Historically associated with kitchens of the past, this colour remains impactful in modern settings. This energetic hue found its way into the recent scheme for our Meadow Suite at Crosby Street Hotel. Experts suggest pairing it with shades of orange and bright green for a cheerful ambience and a slight 60’s nostalgia. In addition, the shades of lively yellow are ideal for spaces embracing bold patterns.

Soft Plaster

Dulux has chosen the plaster inspired colour ‘Sweet Embrace’ as their colour of the year. We have incorporated a similar colour through wall fabric in the Loft Suite at Covent Garden Hotel, crafting a serene and inviting atmosphere.

Here in this recently redesigned deluxe suite at Haymarket Hotel, we have used the same tone on the walls. The plaster-like colour with its neutral undertones, proves to be a versatile choice that complements a variety of design elements.

We hope this has sparked the inspiration for you to discover your colour for 2024!
