Firmdale Art Walks

Firmdale Hotels are giving art enthusiasts a guided tour of Ham Yard or Haymarket Hotel in London and Crosby Street Hotel in New York throughout 2019. Find out how to collect and successfully hang art, making it fun and interesting within a living space.

Design Director, Kit Kemp’s passion for art is present within the interior design of all Firmdale Hotels with famous artists juxtaposed beside up-and-coming ones. At Ham Yard Hotel, artworks range from Tony Cragg’s sculpture at the centre of Ham Yard Hotel’s courtyard, to the mesmerising A Million Times installation by Humans since 1982. At Haymarket Hotel there is a striking black and white painting by the artist, John Virtue and a 22-foot-long installation of tiny stones by Sue Lawty among other key artists.

Visitors will be guided through Kit’s personally chosen art collection, before journeying on an intimate walking tour to some of Soho, St James’ and Mayfair’s most prestigious galleries, led by curator Olivia Paterson.

£99 per person, including walking tour and three-course lunch or afternoon tea.
