As the seasons shift and we slip slowly but surely into autumn, we thought we’d celebrate one of our favourite times of year with an ode to crunchy leaves under foot, the hues of harvest and all that conjures this seasonal change.

In this Suffolk Suite at Haymarket Hotel, thoughts of slowly falling leaves are brought to life with this beautiful Kumi embroidered headboard. The richness in the embroidered curtains orange and terracotta tones is mirrored in this glorious tree design on our flora shape headboard. The tree itself is sprinkled with leaves turning dark and crisp, flanked by two cats celebrating. Petrol tones give the room depth, offsetting the burnt orange walls perfectly.

In the Suffolk Suite’s second bedroom, the rich orangey browns and mustard yellows are carried through. A playful floral adorns the headboard, building the story of a fresh and crisp autumn day.

We hung a collection of costume studies in-between the curtains, framed to mimic and celebrate the rooms colour scheme. I love the graphic zig zag of the frames and how they really pack a punch in the space between these windows, contrasting with the intricacy of the traditional floral, yet in perfect harmony with the geometric on the curtains.

This scheme at The Soho Hotel is a burst of colour with A Rum Fellow’s beautifully intricate cushions that sit on my ‘Araminta’ fabric for Christopher Farr. The bright yellows, mossy greens and deep reds of the cushions are pulled out into the rest of the space.

For the curtain fabric I used my ‘Mud Print’ design for Christopher Farr in green, printed on a course and heavily textured linen which drapes perfectly. We used ‘Mud Print’ again on the walls to create harmony, complemented by a colourful autumnal striped rug to keep the room feeling lively and generous.

In this little room at Covent Garden Hotel, it’s all about this wonderfully classical floral that evokes the turning of the seasons. The florals create a warm and soft red space.

This little room plays with patterns, a feeling of the autumn harvest comes to mind as a luxurious rug grounds the floral sofa which links the bedroom and the drawing room together. The soft and delicate Nina Campbell fabric on the walls provides movement and depth.

At Crosby Street Hotel, the hues of autumn are very much felt in the tailored and warm yellows of the walls in this suite. The A Rum Fellow detail on the headboard and cushions complement the soft ochre tones.

My ‘Bookends’ fabric on a dark loden green boiled wool ground cloth reminds us of the leaves still desperately hanging on to warmer months, with the golden yellows and oranges of the oak tree.

The curtain fabric, aptly named ‘Autumn leaf’ with its subtly embroidered dainty repeat adds a delicacy and changes the scale between the Brunschwig & Fils textile on the sofa cushions and my ‘Araminta’ floral design on the headboard.

We truly love autumn and all that it promises. When the leaves finally do fall and this transitional season has ended, we hope you are able to return to the oak tree in your mind, time and time again and bring forth all its vibrant colours and hues.
