With London starting to bloom this spring, we’d like to do a ‘Fabric Focus’ on Tasha’s Trip. Designed for Christopher Farr Cloth, Tasha’s Trip has an intricate floral motif, available in five colourways. The design is uplifting and was inspired by the work of our friend and artist Natasha Hulse. Join us as we explore different ways to incorporate Tasha’s Trip into interior schemes.

In room 204 at Dorset Square Hotel, Tasha’s Trip has been used in vertical panels on a headboard. It has been paired with one of our favourite weaves by Pierre Frey. This creates a more contemporary and grounded look. We love the fresh greens and blues throughout this bedroom. Look out for a Sleeping Around blog about this new scheme soon!

At The Soho Hotel, the scheme in room 309 brings joy with its sunny yellows. Here, Tasha’s Trip has been used in the ‘old blue’ colourway on the bed cushions and has been paired with vibrant yellows which make the design sing. Our Peace and Love design can be found on the cushion’s piping.

We have also used the same colourway for Tasha’s Trip curtains here in this dressing room at Haymarket Hotel. A hint of yellow runs along the leading edge of the curtains, giving a sense of warmth amongst the scheme’s cool blues.

We regularly work with the charitable social enterprise Fine Cell Work, which aims to help prisoners develop new skills, earn money and acquire the self-belief to stop offending. Skilled volunteers currently work with inmates in 32 British prisons, engaging with over 500 prisoners each year. We are so excited to share the hand embroidered Tasha’s Trip cushions that Fine Cell Work have created. They will be available soon from Shop Kit Kemp and proceeds will go directly to the charity.

We are also looking forward to our upcoming Craft Week Talk & Embroidery Workshop. Here, Kit will have an ‘in conversation’ with Fine Cell Work’s Victoria Gillies and Eppie Thompson of The Fabled Thread. The talk will be followed by a one-day embroidery workshop with Eppie Thompson. Tickets to the event have now sold out, but we will be sure to share our highlights in an upcoming ‘Out and About’ blog post!
