Out & About – The Decorators Club New York

On Thursday evening I was delighted to speak at an event for The Decorators Club at the New York School of Interior Design.

The Decorators Club host a series of lectures every year to support ‘The Decorators Club Education Fund’ which offers scholarships to promising students pursuing degrees in interior design and encourages future generations of talented designers. The theme of this year’s series is ‘Influential Women in the Arts, Architect and Design’.

My talk was named ‘Design Thread,’ after my latest book, in which we reveal the special ways to weave a distinctive design thread throughout different rooms in a congruent and harmonious way. It celebrates working with artists and artisans and embraces the unique hand craftsmanship that make interiors special.

It was a full house and we had lots of questions at the end of my talk. Stellene Volandes, Editor-in-Chief of Town & Country magazine, made the most wonderful introduction. It was great evening all in all.
