Welcome to Suite 609 at Crosby Street Hotel, a room full of colour, craftsmanship and imagination. Layered with our fabric and wallpaper designs for GP & J Baker, the suite is filled with joyful pattern, rich texture and thoughtful details, each chosen to tell its own story. Follow along as we take a closer look around the space.
As you enter, a striking hallway wrapped in Pierre Frey wallpaper sets the tone for the suite. The upper section features an organic ikat, designed with Isabelle de Borchgrave, while below the dado rail, a lively stripe introduces movement and character. Its irregular blue and green chevrons feel almost like stylised leaves or feathers, creating a sense of rhythm and intrigue before leading you into the main room.
In the drawing room, Tall Trees walling in Delft Blue creates a distinctive backdrop, while Wriggle Room curtains frame the windows with a sense of movement. At the centre of the space, the fireplace acts as a beautiful focal point, topped with an antique blue mirror that draws light and colour into the room.
The upholstery brings together a layered mix of pattern and personality. Our Bunty stripe sits alongside Robina’s Dinner Party on the armchairs, with Clementine linen piping adding a bright accent. Around the dining table, each chair has its own character, combining the graphic Front Row fabric with Tweak on the reverse. Overhead, a blue beaded chandelier brings warmth to the space, while a vibrant artwork by Joe Tilson introduces another burst of colour.
Throughout the drawing room, framed pieces of our Knight’s Tale fabric in different colourways have been displayed as artwork. Set within painted frames, they create rhythm across the walls and celebrate fabric as a form of storytelling.
As you move into the bedroom, the atmosphere shifts to something softer and more relaxed. A beautiful canopy bed anchors the space, dressed with elegant drapes and finished with a delicate clear beaded trim that catches the light. A touch of our Tweak fabric introduces a lively detail, while Rainstorm, a smart and sophisticated stripe, adds structure to the bed.
Bright red bedside tables provide a bold accent, while a mannequin upholstered in Knight’s Tale introduces a vibrant pop of pink. Bunty appears again on the end-of-bed stool and window seats, connecting the bedroom to the drawing room while maintaining a calm and inviting atmosphere. A room is never complete without art and here artwork by Katherine Cuthbert hangs beside the bed. Her simple yet imaginative pieces depict different scenes brought to life with touches of red and blue.
Suite 609 at Crosby Street Hotel is filled with detail, from its richly layered fabrics to its carefully considered finishing touches.
