The holiday season is here and we are delighted to show you how we dress our hotels for Christmas, layering colour, pattern and charm to create spaces that feel joyful, warm and wonderfully festive.
Christmas Tree
Probably the most iconic feature of Christmas is the Christmas tree. We love to adorn our trees with decorations, particularly our fine bone china ornaments made with Spode. They are lighthearted, boldly patterned and bring a spark of joy to any tree. Let your own tree sparkle with lights and bring the spirit of Christmas into your home.
Wreaths
Decorating with evergreens has been a festive tradition for centuries. In the 19th century, Christmas wreaths became a staple on front doors as a way of sharing festive spirit with passersby and guests. We enjoy decorating them in many ways, from traditional pine cones to baubles and ornaments.
Wreaths are not only reserved for doorways; we also love to embellish our animals with them.
Fireplaces and Garlands
A decorated fireplace instantly brings festive flair to a home. The entryway for Father Christmas should be warm and welcoming, and pine garlands will not only make your home smell wonderfully festive but will transform any space into a Christmas haven. We love to hang our hand-embroidered, colourful stockings over mantelpieces for an added touch of magic and decoration.
Gingerbread Houses
Nothing says festive fun quite like a gingerbread house. Whether lovingly homemade or thoughtfully displayed, it brings playful, nostalgic charm to any space and fills a home with the warm scent of cinnamon and spices. We always enjoy seeing the creativity and attention to detail that go into the gingerbread villages crafted at our hotels.
Lights
Soft, warm lighting can make any space feel cosy and festive. String lights draped from windows and wrapped around trees create a magical glow, instantly transforming any home into a cheerful, holiday-ready place.
We hope our tips have sparked some holiday spirit and inspired your seasonal decorating.
