One Bedroom Suite at The Soho Hotel

Day to Day

Step inside the One Bedroom Richmond Suite at The Soho Hotel...

In the latest instalment of our Sleeping Around series, we are delighted to reveal a brand new scheme for this one bedroom suite at The Soho Hotel. As you step inside, soft red walls create a warm and soothing atmosphere.

The fireplace becomes the natural focal point, a modern hearth to gather around on cooler days. To emphasise this anchor, we have introduced symmetry on either side with two bespoke bookshelves that bring height and elegance to the space.

The sofas are upholstered in Panjim, a scenic printed fabric full of foliage and animals that introduces colour through accents of soft yellow, blue and purple. Its scale and pattern, combined with our classic deep buttoned Chesterfield sofas, create the feel of a cherished and unique piece. Our signature Kit’s Wing Chair, upholstered in bold yellows and oranges, adds contrast and helps ground the room. Leaf appliqué details gently reinforce the overall theme.

In the dining area, a combination of our Handle and Whitby chairs in orange and yellow brings energy and lightness. To ensure the space never feels cold or impersonal, we have layered in antique pieces. A solid wooden table acts as an anchor, while an antique mirror behind it reflects light and subtly expands the room. Above, a shell chandelier, a characterful found piece, adds texture and personality.

Every corner of the suite offers an opportunity to introduce distinctive and inviting touches. A bespoke painted lamp with a striped shade is a small but thoughtful detail that reinforces this sense of care and artistry.

The compact kitchenette has also been enhanced, with painted joinery adding a playful note. The scheme is further enriched by prints from artist Shilo Engelbrecht, whose contemporary abstract works in paint and collage help tie the space together.

In the bedroom, we continue the narrative of the seating area by making this Clarence House fabric the star of the show. Upholstered on a Flora headboard with widespread nickel studding, it becomes the room’s focal point. For the walls, we used Puff, our fabric for Andrew Martin. Its varied blue tones add texture and depth while creating a calming, cloud like effect, somewhere between sky and sea. The curtains are finished with our Pop Art trim, giving them a playful edge and helping them stand out.

Above the desk, a hand painted mirror is paired with lampshades in our Rick Rack fabric, reinforcing a sense of craftsmanship and individuality.

We hope you have enjoyed stepping into this suite at The Soho Hotel, where red sets the tone for a cosy space layered with found treasures and thoughtful details, creating a true home away from home. For more Sleeping Around, you can explore the other stories on our blog here.
