Nursery Rhymes

Day to Day

Discover how the magic of nursery rhymes transforms spaces into playful, nostalgic and beautifully designed interiors...

Nursery rhymes have long captured our imaginations with their simple melodies and vivid imagery. From the twinkling night skies to playful fruit patterns, these timeless songs offer a unique lens for designing joyful, engaging spaces. Join us on today’s blog, as we share some of our new schemes where nostalgia meets creativity.

Each Peach Pear Plum brings fruit-filled delight into the home. Its playful imagery can inspire colourful, vibrant interiors with fruit-themed décor. At Number Sixteen, our newly designed room high in the eaves is cocooned in our Pear Tree wallpaper, designed for Andrew Martin. This cosy hideaway balances gentleness and refinement, with an appliqué headboard that captures the essence of childlike imagination while grounding the space in comfort.

Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star, evokes a sense of wonder and calm, making it perfect for bedroom interiors. Our Starry Night wallpaper also designed for Andrew Martin scatters soft, painted stars that replicate the magic of a celestial sky, creating a soothing environment for one to drift off to sleep.

Ring-a-Ring o’ Roses offers circular patterns and rhythmic repetition, ideal for designing interactive spaces. Circular repetition in layouts, lighting and artwork can echo the rhyme’s swirling motion, encouraging flow, creativity and movement. These motifs bring both energy and harmony to interiors, making spaces feel alive yet balanced.

In parallel, the reference to ‘posies’ refers to small bundles of flowers which invites us to weave natural elements into interiors. Fresh blooms, floral textiles and appliqué headboards soften geometry, infuse spaces with vitality and reconnect us to nature. Just as children once carried posies for comfort and joy, floral accents today bring warmth, vibrancy and a sense of renewal into the home.

Nursery rhymes remind us of the magic of childhood. They encourage us to dream boldly and design playfully. We’d love to know which rhyme inspires your favourite place?
