London in July is brimming with colour, creativity and joyful energy, and this year’s calendar is nothing short of magical. It is the perfect time to embrace everything the city has to offer, from world-class tennis to bold public art and open-air concerts. Here is what we are most excited about this month:
Royal Academy Summer Exhibition

The Royal Academy Summer Exhibition 2025 is back at Burlington House. This year’s ‘Dialogues’ theme brings together over 1,200 incredible artworks, from bold paintings to stunning sculptures by rising stars and legends like Tracey Emin. It is the perfect summer art fix to inspire and delight.
Somerset House Summer Series

For something truly special, enjoy ten nights of open-air concerts in the historic courtyard of Somerset House for the Summer Series. With soulful live music, delicious street food, and the golden glow of the sunset illuminating the beautiful surroundings, it is the perfect place to soak up summer vibes under the stars. Tickets start at just £27.50, making it an unforgettable soundtrack to your London evenings.
Wimbledon at Firmdale Hotels
23rd June – 13th July 2025
Skip the queues and the heat and catch all the Wimbledon action live at several of our Firmdale Hotels. Whether you are settling into Soho’s Refuel Bar or sipping a cocktail in the vibrant Ham Yard Hotel’s courtyard, you will not miss a single backhand. Think chilled Pimm’s in hand, buttery scones and fresh strawberries topped with a cloud of clotted cream. Classic summer indulgence, perfectly served.
Pride in London
Saturday 6th July 2025
Pride is always a joyful moment in the city, a colourful celebration of love, identity and community. The West End comes alive with parades, music, dancing and fabulous street style. It is a powerful reminder of unity and expression.
Sculpture In The City
From 16th July 2025
One of our favourite summer traditions is wandering through the Square Mile to discover contemporary sculptures nestled between historic buildings and glass towers. Sculpture in the City returns for its 14th edition, transforming London’s financial district into a vibrant open-air gallery. Discover large-scale contemporary artworks from world-renowned artists, each installation offering a bold conversation between art and architecture. It is completely free and open 24 hours a day.
Whether you are a tennis fan, art lover or simply soaking up the spirit of summer, London is alive with wonder this July.
