As the seasons change, so does the atmosphere within our interiors. Flowers, whether fresh or featured in a pattern, have a unique ability to breathe new life into a space. At our Design Studio, we embrace the transformative power of florals, using them in both subtle and bold ways to introduce colour, texture and vibrancy. From freshly arranged bouquets to beautifully detailed fabrics and accessories, this is how floral elements can refresh and elevate your home.
Floral-inspired accessories offer an easy and impactful way to refresh your home. Our appliqué cushions can bring a subtle touch of nature without overpowering the space.
Flowers are not just for vases. Small splashes of flowers through acrylic trays, signature mannequins or artwork can have the power to spark joy and keep our spaces feeling fresh, making everyday moments feel special.
If you want to go above and beyond, create a real sense of playfulness and romance through a flower-themed scheme. Whether it’s through upholstery or wallpapers, flower patterns add a whimsical and lively touch to our rooms. This garden of greens at Knightsbridge Hotel has the right balance to create a floral but tailored look.
In a softer way, we love how this beautiful hand appliqué sets against the linen walling. The headboard’s mix of colours makes it extremely versatile against an effortless pearl backcloth.
The beauty of floral textiles lies in their versatility. At Palette, the restaurant we designed at Bergdorf Goodman in New York, we explored this through playful use of scale. Delicate, handmade floral appliqués were layered over our Tall Trees wallpaper, creating a richly textured backdrop. By combining larger florals with smaller-scale fabrics, we added depth and visual interest, resulting in a space that feels both immersive and refined.
Nothing enlivens a space quite like fresh flowers. Whether it’s a simple arrangement of seasonal blooms or a striking centrepiece, flowers add light to a room. At home, placing a vase of fresh flowers on a bedside table, dining table, or mantlepiece can instantly elevate the space, bringing in fragrance and a burst of natural beauty.
Carefully curate fresh floral displays that reflect the changing seasons such as lush peonies in spring, sun-kissed dahlias in summer and festive amaryllis in winter.
As you can see, there are so many ways to let your home blossom. We hope you feel inspired to bring colour and light into your spaces through the beauty of flowers. Follow us for more at @kitkempdesignthread.
