Welcome to the recently refurbished Residence 2 at Ham Yard Hotel, a beautifully designed one-bedroom apartment overlooking the tranquil courtyard, where Tony Cragg’s striking bronze sculpture takes centre stage. It is a captivating view that invites calm reflection. Upon entering, you are greeted by a vibrant and welcoming interior where bold patterns and rich colours create a lively yet sophisticated atmosphere. The walls are upholstered in a warm coral-toned linen, enveloping the large, light-filled space in comfort and warmth.

At the heart of the living area is a characterful antique French farmhouse table, carefully sourced to bring people together. It sits beneath a decorative pendant light, forming a cosy dining area. The chairs surrounding it are upholstered in a mix of beautiful fabrics by Susan Deliss, adding texture and charm.

An oversized mirror with a distressed white frame brings classical elegance and reflects the space, enhancing the sense of openness.

Built-in bookshelves, softly backlit and backed with an antique mirror, add depth and a homely feel. Above the fireplace, a large smoky mirror captures sunlight streaming through the floor-to-ceiling Crittall windows, adding even more light to the space.

The seating area is a tribute to our dear friend William Yeoward. Two Chesterfield sofas, upholstered in his smart Imogen blue and red striped weave, are paired with generous armchairs in a floral red, white and blue fabric.

This pairing brings together traditional design with a modern twist. Antique commodes with blue ceramic lamps flank the seating area, adding balance, while a striking framed textile above the sofa provides a thoughtful finishing touch.

By the window, our iconic Kit’s Wing Chair invites you to sit back and relax. It is upholstered in a patchwork weave by Schumacher, inspired by the rich colours and symbols of Berber rugs. With its woven geometric pattern and delicate embroidered details, this chair is the perfect spot to settle into a good book.

Throughout the apartment, we have used our Tea Trail fabric designed for Christopher Farr on all curtains, creating a seamless visual flow from the living area into the bedroom.

In the bedroom, a grand headboard becomes the focal point, with vertical rows of embroidered red and blue motifs that draw the eye upwards. The headboard is upholstered in the same coral linen used on the living room walls, ensuring a sense of cohesion throughout. Wide-spread nickel studding outlines the headboard’s shape, giving it a refined contemporary touch.
