Room 410 at Charlotte Street Hotel

Day to Day

Step inside Room 410 at Charlotte Street Hotel...

On today’s blog, join us as we explore the newly refurbished Room 410 at Charlotte Street Hotel, where bold colours, layered textures and thoughtful details come together to create an inviting and characterful retreat.

Tucked into the attic, this bedroom features charming eaves that present a unique design challenge. Rather than shy away from them, we chose to celebrate these architectural quirks by wallpapering every surface to create a warm, cocoon-like retreat. The walls are wrapped in our ‘Starry Night’ wallpaper, a vivid blue design scattered with stars that brings a sense of fantasy and wonder to the room. This deep blue is beautifully contrasted with warm yellow woven fabrics used on the end-of-bed stool and armchair, resulting in a harmonious and vibrant colour palette.

At the heart of the room is the statement headboard, upholstered in our Front Row fabric, designed for GP & J Baker. This textile is one of our favourites from the collection, with its richly woven, tapestry-like pattern full of intricate detail. The headboard’s generous Flora shape is outlined in wide-set nickel studding, adding texture, dimension and a contemporary edge. A bright yellow linen along the inner edge brings definition and further highlights the shape.

The curtains are recessed into the window niches and crafted from a soft two-tone blue linen. Along the leading edge, we have added our RailRoad border, designed for Christopher Farr, which subtly ties together the various elements of the room.

Room 410 is full of life, with bold colour choices, playful accents and hand-crafted details that reflect our love for expressive and thoughtful design.

We hope you have enjoyed this peek into one of our latest spaces at Charlotte Street Hotel.
