Our Feathered Friends in Design

Day to Day

Take a closer look at how we've used our feathered friends in design...

At our Design Studio, we find endless inspiration in our surroundings. With a beautiful garden at our London studio, we’re continually serenaded by the enchanting songs of birds. In today’s blog, we’ll explore how we’ve incorporated our feathered friends into our designs.

Fabrics

For the centrepieces of these rooms, we’ve chosen a vibrant, multi-coloured printed linen featuring abstract leaves and birds for the headboards. The Arjuna fabric by Borderline draws inspiration from an original 1890s East Indies batik and is available in two distinct colourways. Each brings its own palette, yet both strike a careful balance between organic forms and structured geometry, creating a space that feels rich, layered and welcoming.

Wallpaper

Our Songbird wallpaper beautifully recreates a dreamy landscape of airy trees, blossoming flowers and delicate birds. Used in the Sunset colourway for this suite at The Soho Hotel, this wallpaper sets the stage for an enchanted and mystical atmosphere. The design embraces the stylised nature of Chinoiserie but is softened with an English twist, featuring graceful songbirds calling to each other across the panorama.

Lighting

Our charming Rockin’ Robin lighting adds a playful touch to the room, enhancing our vision of making each space feel like a home rather than just a hotel. We particularly love the yellow accent bird with blue polka dots, which brings a dash of personality and reminds us that every detail matters.

Artwork

A striking collection of plates in varying shapes and colours by artist Robina Jack decorates the dresser in The Orangery at Warren Street Hotel. We adore Robina’s plates for their artisanal craftsmanship and the captivating scenes they depict. These plates are so distinctive that we translated their charm into a fabric for our latest collaboration with GP & J Baker. In the Junior Suite at Haymarket Hotel, we’ve upholstered the sofa in the green colourway, creating a bold contrast against the orange walls.

Accessories

A simple and effortless way to incorporate birds into your décor is through accessories. Our bird napkin rings make the perfect finishing touch for your table, adding a charming and elegant detail.

We hope this blog has inspired you with new ideas for subtly introducing our feathered friends into your interiors, bringing a sense of harmony and a gentle narrative to your spaces.
