To celebrate Willow’s new Art Walk at Warren Street Hotel, we have prepared some special handcrafted cocktails, each one inspired by the artwork in the hotel, which Willow will explore with you on the art walk. On today’s blog we are taking a look at some of our favourite artworks and how their form, colour and energy have inspired each cocktail.
Here is Baker behind the bar, perfecting the Art Walk cocktails.
The first drink, Willow’s Art Walk, is inspired by the building’s iconic blue-green exterior, crowned with an eye-catching yellow peak. It’s a vibrant blend of Don Julio Blanco tequila, Blue Curaçao, pineapple amaro, banana liqueur, lime juice and agave.
Next up is The Devonald Martini, inspired by Gareth Devonald-Smith’s striking site-specific sculpture above the bar. This indulgent mix features Belvedere vodka, crème de cacao, salers aperitif, Licor 43, cream and whole milk.
If you’re feeling strong, we suggest The Tony Cragg, a rich blend of house-made pumpkin kahlúa, vanilla syrup, blackstrap rum and espresso, inspired by the strength, form and striking colours of Tony Cragg’s Integers sculpture, which commands attention at the hotel’s entrance.
The Stormy Skipping Stone draws inspiration from the beautifully crafted table in the window, adorned with sculptural ceramics and joyful floral arrangements. This spirited cocktail features Angel’s Envy bourbon, allspice dram, agave, lime juice, ginger beer and a rum float.
Willow’s pick is non-alcoholic, but still packs a punch — the brightly coloured: Sir Terry Frost, to celebrate the British artist, a master of form, shape and colour: Seedlip Notas de Agave, orange juice, pineapple juice and grenadine float.
Our special menu of handcrafted cocktails is inspired by the vibrant artwork featured on the Art Walk and displayed throughout the hotel. Each drink is a creative tribute to the colours, themes and energy of the pieces that make this space so uniquely captivating. To find out more and book tickets click here.Â
