This week, The Decorators Club launched an engaging series of talks featuring master interior designers and influential figures in the design world. The biennial Jacqueline Beymer Lecture Series was established in 1991 and benefits interior design education. The series is named in memory of Decorators Club member Jacqueline Beymer who was instrumental in its founding. The series’ purpose is to broaden the education of club members, those in the design industry, and the general public, on topics pertaining to the decorative arts.
Proceeds from these series raise funds for The Decorators Club Education Fund, which provides monetary grants to students who are interested in pursuing interior design education at the six New York City design colleges.
The inaugural event showcased a captivating discussion with Veere Grenney, one of the leading talents of our generation. Held in the elegant theater at The Whitby Hotel in Manhattan, the atmosphere buzzed with anticipation, which was beautifully fulfilled as we delved into Veere’s philosophy and career highlights. His inspirations and insights were vividly illustrated through stunning visuals from his latest book, Seeking Beauty.
Following the talk, we all enjoyed a delightful supper in the enchanting Anrep Room, adorned with flowers and candlelight for the occasion.
Mark your calendars for the next talk in the series, featuring Lisa Fine on November 6th at The Whitby Hotel, just a day after the US Elections. We’re all eager to learn more! Discover more information about the upcoming talks here.
