It’s that time of year again at the New York Design Center for ‘What’s New, What’s Next,’ and we can’t wait to immerse ourselves in a world of fresh talent, innovation, and all things design. We’re thrilled to have collaborated with Julian Chichester, where Minnie has added her artistic flair to the window at the New York Design Center. She also hosted a talk at the Julian Chichester showroom this week, offering an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at the journey of designing and building the Warren Street Hotel.
We love experimenting with scale, and small spaces provide the perfect opportunity to go big. We’ve incorporated the ‘Read the Room’ wallpaper from Mind the Gap x Minnie Kemp, a contemporary design inspired by the vast plains, open skies, and rolling hills of the Transylvanian countryside. This bold pattern creates the illusion of space, proving that even the tiniest areas can make a powerful statement.
Craftsmanship is at the heart of everything we do, and we take pride in celebrating artistry in all forms. Natasha Hulse’s delicate floral appliqué, embroidered on Julian Chichester’s wicker pendant, and Liora Manne’s vibrant floral textiles add an elegant touch of beauty to our jewel-box space.
We’ve upholstered the Cow Carver Chair in our latest fabrics with GP & J Baker. The playful geometry of ‘Potato Print’, paired with the crisp stripes of ‘Tightrope’, creates a lively contrast of scale and whimsy. The natural textures of wicker and sisal, complemented by a sleek metal side table, anchor the space, where every piece shines on its own, adding character and charm.
And of course, our ‘Sole Mates’ doodle mug designed by Willow is the cherry on top!
