Day to Day

Explore our favourite ice cream flavours as design schemes...

Ice cream season is here, and as we indulge in our favourite creamy treats, we’ve discovered an unexpected connection between interior design and ice cream. Both bring us immense comfort and joy! The endless flavours, colours, and textures in ice cream mirror the infinite possibilities in interior design, inspiring us to create spaces that evoke fun, whimsy, and comfort. As we savour these delicious treats, we’d like to share our favourite flavours and how they’ve inspired our designs.

Pistachio – Tall Trees

Our  ‘Tall Trees’ collection for Spode, celebrates nature with its hand-painted woodland tableau in a soft green palette. This design adds a soothing and serene ambiance to any tablescape, much like the delightful, nutty taste of pistachio.

Pistachio – Room 702 at Warren Street Hotel

We love how the subtle yet invigorating hue of pistachio instills a refreshing and calming ambiance. This striking balance between neutrality and versatility is perfect for adding a sense of soothing vibrancy to any living space.

Peach Sorbet – The Garden Suite at Warren Street Hotel

A burst of citrus is always a winner! This dynamic and vibrant palette of tangy oranges and yellows creates a cosy yet refreshing space that invigorates the senses, whether for your eyes or taste buds.

Bubblegum – Room 206 at Warren Street Hotel

Bubblegum blue is a playful shade that infuses any interior space with youthful energy and whimsy. Never be afraid to go bold and mix it with other joyful colours, as it awakens a sense of surprise and intrigue, just like its flavour!

Vanilla – Room 1102 at Warren Street Hotel

Vanilla, with its classic, understated elegance, serves as a clean, soothing base that can be enjoyed alone or enhanced with various accents. This neutral colour palette creates a calming and versatile space, acting as a blank canvas for personal touches without overwhelming the senses.

Raspberry Swirl – Room 1006 at Warren Street Hotel

This deep shade of pink exudes excitement and warmth. Raspberry is a versatile colour that can be used in both traditional and contemporary interiors. It pairs well with neutrals and bold jewel tones, creating a charming space.

Mint Choc Chip – Room 1109 at Warren Street Hotel

Finally, our studio favourite is the classic mint. This soft and soothing colour adds a breath of fresh air to any space. Reminiscent of cool breezes, fragrant gardens, and sweet mint leaves, this delicate hue creates a calming ambiance that encourages relaxation and rejuvenation.
