Last week, our London team had the amazing opportunity to visit Studio Pottery London for a group course, where we tested our skills at pottery throwing. Guided by studio technicians Lara and Eugene, we were shown step-by-step how to create our own pottery vases.
The studio had meticulously set us up with individual tools, and we began creating our vases. Despite our attentiveness to the instructions, we quickly discovered that throwing pottery is not as easy as it looks and required some guidance along the way. However, we had a fantastic time exploring and trying out this craft!
Clearly, some of us were more skilled than others, and we learned just how much patience this art requires.
Although we could only select one of our creations to be fired, the experience was thoroughly rewarding.
The final step is to glaze and fire our masterpieces. We can’t wait to see how our pots turn out in two weeks!
