The Women’s Prize for Fiction was founded by British bestselling novelist and playwright Kate Mosse. Born not only to celebrate women, but also with the mission to educate, create initiative and awareness, the Women’s Prize Trust’s ultimate goal is to make an impact in the world through women, cheering, celebrating and bringing writers to the attention of readers. The foundation has its own podcast, having featured writers such as Madeline Miller and Isabel Allende.
We are so happy to share with you that Kit has joined for an episode. Hosted by Vick Hope, Kit has shared her five favourite books written by female authors that have all impacted her life and career.

One of the chosen books ‘The Lady and the Unicorn’ by Tracy Chevalier is about the creation of tapestries by Nicolas des Innocents for an up and coming French nobleman in 1490. It conjures up how it would feel to be living and working as a craftsperson and maker in Belgium and Paris. It outlines the skills required to complete this masterpiece and the colourful naughty characters who are woven into the tapestries themselves…” – Kit
