As the holiday season approaches, it’s the perfect time to do a little crafting, seasonal decorating or gift-making. We’re excited to announce a special festive workshop that blends all of these elements, in collaboration with Fine Cell Work, a UK-based charity dedicated to prisoner rehabilitation.
With over 25 years of experience teaching stitching in British prisons, Fine Cell Work understand the transformative power of this skill. Their mission is to help prisoners and prison leavers finish their sentences with work skills, earned income, and the self-belief to rebuild meaningful crime-free lives. We’re proud to have partnered with Fine Cell Work over the years, with our Founder and Creative Director Kit, being a Trustee. You might have noticed their works adorning some of our hotel bedrooms.
The workshop will take place at Haymarket Hotel on Friday 17th November, from 10am to 3pm, with a delicious lunch served in Brumus Bar and Restaurant. If you’re eager to get crafty this Christmas, you can book your spot here.
During this workshop, you’ll have the opportunity to create your own hand-stitched Christmas decorations with the guidance of the Fine Cell Work team. You’ll get to explore your own designs, learn basic embroidery stitches and craft unique decorations to proudly adorn your Christmas tree this year. These winter wonderland creations are sure to bring a smile to your face!
If you’re interested in beautifully crafted ‘ready-made’ decorations, don’t miss Fine Cell Work’s Christmas Sale on Friday 1st December, from 9am to 3pm at St. Peter’s Church in Notting Hill. It’s a wonderful opportunity to purchase high-quality, hand-embroidered Christmas gifts for your loved ones that give back to the community.
We hope this blog has inspired you to get crafting this festive season!
