As we pass the halfway point of the year and head into high summer, we wanted to reflect on 2023 so far and show you a little of what we have been working on.
A Refresh for the Ham Yard Shop
Our Ham Yard Shop has had a summer refresh and is filled with fabulous new designs, including our brand new fabric collection for Christopher Farr, which adorns the walls and a number of chairs too. You’ll also find our Spode collection which includes ‘Doodles’, a range of giftware designed by Willow Kemp, as well as a treasure trove of beautifully crafted one-off designs from some of our favorite artists, including Hermione Skye and Mimi de Biarritz.
Just moments from Piccadilly Circus in Ham Yard Hotel’s leafy village courtyard, it’s open every Thursday and Friday from 10am – 6pm, or by appointment Monday – Wednesday. Pop-in to see the latest designs and then book a table on our sunny Ham Yard terrace for lunch with a friend.
Launched Kit Kemp for Spode
Back in April we launched our very first collection for the historic British tableware brand, Spode. The launch took place in the Spode Showroom in New York and was such fun.
The collection was the results of more than a year’s work for the team and was a journey filled with collaboration, craft and a shared appreciation for great design.
Warren Street Hotel, NYC
Our latest New York hotel, Warren Street, is coming together and it’s so exciting to see the building develop. Due to launch in early 2024, it’s located in the bustling and creative neighborhood of Tribeca and the team have been busy dreaming up schemes for the whole hotel that will capture the area’s artistic spirit in true Kit Kemp style.    Below you can see the reception and lobby area, as well as the Orangery where our guests will dine.
Scheming with our new Lantern Parade wallpaper
At Charlotte Street Hotel, we’ve been dreaming up room schemes using our Lantern Parade wallpaper, part of our new collection created for Andrew Martin. Featuring an enchanted landscape bathed in moonlight, the hand painted design incorporates motifs and styles from tapestry and mediaeval illumination, giving it a historic and otherworldly feel that’s really magical.
For this room we have designed a bespoke applique headboard which gently mimics the wallpaper. The rest of the fabrics in the room are embroideries, sophisticated stripes and textured plains. We cannot wait to show you pictures once the room is finished.
We’ve just added to the collection with a brand new range called Calypso. Inspired by one of Kit’s favourite places, the island of Barbados, it features shades of fuchsia pink, sunshine yellow and turquoise blue that will bring a burst of colour to the table. Shop the collection here.
A new fabric collection – coming soon!
Last but not least, we have been working on a very exciting fabric and wallpaper collaboration with one of our favourite fabric houses. We cannot give too much away at this point but keep your eyes and ears pealed for a big announcement
