The cherry blossom across London has us brimming with joy! We’ve been busy scheming on new projects and thought we’d share our favourite fabrics that are putting a ‘spring’ in our step…
Pierre Frey – Iles Enchantées CollectionÂ
Pierre Frey’s daring vision is infectious. We’re always in awe of the bold approach to colour and texture that effortlessly exudes joy. We love the new collection Iles Enchantées – it takes you on a voyage to the shores of the Pacific with an explosion of vibrancy and exotic inspiration.
We have incorporated this fabric into a citrus orange and grass green bedroom scheme at Haymarket Hotel.
Thibaut – SEVITA
Thibaut’s SEVITA collection is inspired by classic floral designs that evoke quaint English countryside charm. We love the ‘Fuchsia and Coral’ colourway.
Morris & Co – Sanderson’s Cornubia
We love infusing William Morris’ designs into our schemes and Sanderson’s Cornubia collection is a wonderful collaboration between Morris & Co and designer Ben Pentreath who recoloured a selection of Morris’ original designs. In room 509 at The Soho Hotel, we used ‘Merton’. This is a repeat of stylised pomegranates and tulips, surrounded by delicate flowers, apples and scrolling acanthus leaves in green. We love how refreshing and joyful this collection is!
Stromheim – Magalia
Beauty is captured with Stroheim’s Magalia collection. Embroidered botanicals feature on a crisp white linen cloth, effortlessly echoing a sense of spring-like romanticism. The design reminds us of Australian native eucalyptus.
We have recently schemed with this fabric in room 102 at Covent Garden Hotel and are looking forward to exploring the space further, in our series of Sleeping Around blog posts.
Barbara Osario – AgaveÂ
Barbara Osario’s bold geometric pattern ‘Agave’ is a painterly dream. The bright and unexpected colour palette is stimulating and we also can’t wait to share with you how we’ve used it in our new scheme for room 101 at Charlotte Street Hotel. Watch this space!
We hope you’ve enjoyed this peek inside our world of scheming. We’d love to see what fabrics you’re working with at the moment – share your moodboards and designs with us on Instagram @KitKempDesignThread.
