Combining Patterns & Textures at Crosby Street Hotel

In Suite 609 at Crosby Street Hotel in New York, we have combined patterns and textures to create a space that is happy and layered.

The headboard and sofa have been upholstered in a fabulous crewel work by Pierre Frey, which is the main inspiration for this scheme. We have drawn out hot oranges and dusky pale blues from the headboard in the rest of the fabrics throughout the suite.

Two tub chairs, covered in my ‘Lost and Found’ fabric for Christopher Farr, sit at the breakfast table beneath a vintage beaded chandelier to make the suite feel just that little bit more personal.

The bedroom walls are lined in a striped wallpaper by one of our favourite designers, William Yeoward.

As you open the walk-in wardrobe doors you are greeted by a delightful wallpaper called ‘Having a Chat’ by Ottoline. Lining the inside of a cupboard creates a new surprising design detail and this joyful pattern makes this tiny space as exciting as the room itself.

We like to think these faces are having a chat and admiring our guests shoe selection!
